Week 3

Large Format Cameras
-pretty outdated, but some information can be applied to normal 35mm photography

Advantages
-Better/higher resolution
-Full control of lens position, image shape, depth of field, film back position, perspective

Disadvantages
-Heavy and nearly always needs a tripod
-cumbersome and needs more preparation

"What you don't shoot is just as important as what you do shoot" -Cam

"You cant be all things to all people" - Cam

Large format is really good for architecture.
format: 4x5 inch or larger

-A rule of thumb is to use a lens designed to cover the next standard format size
-A lens designed to cover a 5x7 inch format used on a 4x5 inch format will provide adequate covering power.
